Commissioned by the owners of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, the “Origami” Fazioli piano was originally designed by a team of renowned architects (McFarlane / Green / Biggar). The white coloured instrument distinguishes itself thanks to the elaborate tri-dimensional incision, made of walnut wood, located on the internal side of the lid. When the piano was refurbished in 2019, the owners invited Origami Master Joseph Wu to contribute to the design.
The technical files present on this website represent only a selection of the many special “Art Case” pianos built so far. Since wood is a natural product whose features are unique and unrepeatable, the veneers visible in these pictures are purely indicative and non-committing with regard to future creations.
